Prof. Dr. Konrad Walser hält seit 2006 ein Doktorat der Betriebswirtschaftslehre im Bereich Wirtschaftsinformatik der Universität Bern und ist seit Frühjahr 2012 Professor (FH) für IT Governance und IT-Servicemanagement (lehrend) und E-Government (forschend) an der Berner Fachhochschule.

Er ist bereits länger Mitglied der Gesellschaft für Informatik (Deutschland) und leitet dort seit 2011 die Fachgruppe Strategisches Informationsmanagement mit. Ebenfalls ist er Co-Sprecher des Arbeitskreises mkmKIS der GMDS.

Konrad Walser ist zudem Organisator und Mitveranstalter von internationalen Konferenzen und Workshops im Bereich der Wirtschaftsinformatik (u.a. zu BPMN, IT-Governance, IT-Servicemanagement), E-Government und E-Health. Konrad Walser hält überdies Zertifizierungen als ITIL Expert (V3) und in COBIT. Konrad Walser forscht und publiziert in den Bereichen Wirtschaftsinformatik (IT Governance, IT Service Management, strategisches Informationsmanagement), E-Government und E-Health und unterrichtet an der Berner Fachhochschule IT Governance, IT Servicemanagement sowie IT Controlling und neuerdings Wissenschaftstheorie.

Er arbeitete zuletzt drei Jahre (Teilzeit) in der Bundesverwaltung im Bereich der IT-Steuerung. Aktuell ist Konrad Walser voll für die Fachhochschule Bern tätig.
